Create Sheet

To create or add a new sheet select the project name by clicking on it at the left menu. At the main area click on + New sheet button. In the pop-up menu two options are available: to create a new blank sheet or to make a copy of one of the already existing sheets. If you choose to make a copy click on one of the sheet names in the open menu. Please note that data in data nodes from the original sheet will also be copied to its new copy. The project time period of a copy will also be equal to the time period of its original.

When creating a new blank sheet on the newly opened screen you will see the field for sheet title. The Maximum allowed title length is 128 symbols. Enter the name for the sheet and before clicking on the «create» button we need to set up the time or period for the sheet.

Time tab

Period of the sheet is the minimal unit of time (time step) for your dynamically developing system. If you are supposed to enter data in your project once a year then choosing years as a period is a good idea. If you will enter data quarterly and expect to get quarterly reports as well then select «quarters» as a period.

IMPORTANT NOTE: you can set a period only at the time when you create the sheet. It will not be possible to change the period later.

After you have chosen the period you will need to set the beginning and end of your project. Here you have two options.

Option one: I will test scenarios for the future based on the past data.

The main goal of your project is to produce forecasts for the future. Let’s say you will enter yearly financial data for years from 2020 till 2022 and want to calculate scenarios for years 2023 and 2032. Then choose 2023 as the beginning and 2032 as the end. You will still be able to input your data from the past (2020-2022). Beginning and end are the borders of the future scenario time range.

Option two: I don’t need scenarios testing, I just need reports from available data.

The main goal of your project is to produce reports for already available data. You do not need future forecasting. Then choose the beginning and end of the data you have. For example: you have yearly data for 2020 to 2022 and want to have reports for this time range. Then choose 2020 as the beginning and 2022 as an end.

Numeric tab.

This option is useful if the time range of your sheet is not adjoined to the absolute calendar. This option is useful if your project is rather developing in relative time or steps. For example: you have one 3D printer so far and you want to forecast the productivity of your business if you add more 3D printers. So one step will be equal to adding one more printer and is not adjoined or related to the calendar.

Edit sheet name

To edit the sheet name right-click on the sheet and edit its name. Then click on «Save». IMPORTANT NOTE: you can not edit the data period of the sheet.

Export sheet

To export the sheet right click on the sheet name. Then click on the Export sheet in the context menu that will appear. The next context menu provides you a choice: to export the sheet with data in data nodes or to export only the sheet structure without data in data notes. For the first case turn the switch on. For the second case turn the switch off. Then press the Export button.

Delete sheet

To delete a sheet, right-click on the sheet tab. Then click on the Delete sheet in the pop-up menu. If it was a blank sheet it will be deleted without prompting you for confirmation. If this sheet has at least one node you will be asked to confirm the deletion.
