Reports

Reports overview

Reports produce charts and tables. Charts are shown on the screen and tables could be downloaded in .xlsx format for further analysis in your favorite software.

Each report may contain several charts. Data for all charts will be included in the exported .xlsx file.

All charts have the same layout. The X-axis always represents the time. It starts with the beginning of the project and ends with its end. The Y-axis always represents the content of one or several nodes. If the data node contains more than one row then the totals or content of any particular row could be shown on the chart.

Create report

Prerequisite to create reports. Reports could be created only for a valid model. AIMES software considers a model valid if a scenario of the model could be calculated without errors. Simply speaking the sequence of users actions should be:

  • Create your model design and fill it with data;
  • Go to Scenarios view and create at least one scenario;
  • Calculate this scenario by clicking on the triangle located to the right of scenario name;
  • In the pop-up menu there will be a “Calculation success” message.
  • Only now AIMES software “knows” that model contains no errors and allows users to create reports.

To create report:

  • Open the desired sheet and select Reports view on the toolbar.
  • In the left Reports menu click on the + New report.
  • There will be two options In the popped-up menu:
    • To create a new default report.
    • To create a new report as a copy of an already existing report.
      In this case just click on the name of an already existing report in the shown reports list.

New default report contains one chart with the default name Graph 1. To select the nodes which content to show on the chart go to the nodes menu to the right. Use the mouse wheel to scroll down the nodes list. If the list is too big use the nodes search field above to filter nodes by name.

The following operations are available for each node:

  • Left-click on the eye pictogram to the left of the node name to turn on and off the visibility of the node on the chart.
  • Hover the mouse pointer over the node type pictogram (between the eye pictogram and the node name) and it will change to the drop-down list sign. Clicking on it will open the drop-down list of all the rows contained in this node. Each row visibility on the chart could be turned on and off by the same principle: click on the eye pictogram to the left of the row name.
  • To the right of each node name there is a scenario pictogram. Click on it and the pop-up menu will show the list of the scenarios in which this node is involved. Use check-boxes to select those scenarios for which the content of the node to show.
  • Fast navigation to any node content is available. Just double click on the node name. To get back to the report use the Back button of your browser.

Hovering the mouse pointer over the node name at the legend area on the chart will highlight this node line and area under it and dim all other lines.

Edit report

To rename the report right-click on its name and change the name in the pop-up menu. To change which nodes content, which rows and for which scenarios to show on the chart use the nodes menu on the right part of the screen as it is described above in the Create report section.

Download report as spreadsheet data (.xlsx)

To download the table with the report data click on the download button which is located at the right end of the toolbar. It is right above the upper right corner of the most top chart. Report data are available in .xlsx format. The table will contain the content of all nodes for all scenarios.

The “print report” functionality is pending. Please use your browser to print the page with charts.

Delete report

To delete the report right-click on its name and click on the Delete report in the pop-up menu.
